SplatHosei Dojo is 22 years old and he has yet to have sex. Even though he likes women a lot, he has always had bad luck with them. Wishing to experience a big change in his life, Hosei goes to the Kabukicho. The area is a red-light district in Shinjuku, Tokyo. There, he meets Rumi Itoda who works at a hostess bar and falls in love with her at first sight. He learns that she suffers violence from Takashi Takaoka who works at the same bar. Hosei tries to help Rumi escape from her situation.

Stayed so true to the source material but still had its own must-see moments. A beautiful revival.
Overlong and bogged down in dark photography and art direction, this live action remake doesn’t come close to the magic that was the animated original.
My daughter and I absolutely loved this movie! The actors they selected were spot on compared to their animated version! A must see!!!!! Bravo!!!
im not a big fan of live action remakes, but this was solid!
