SplatDoc is an intern who has been invited by the United Nations' Children Fund, along with his fellow interns, to a deserted area in Sichuan to run physicals for poor children. There, Doc meets a teacher named Lu. Although Lu is from a different world, she firmly believes that Doc is her hero, but she also knows that he has been diagnosed with blood cancer and will die soon. As Doc prepares for his own death, Lu takes care of him the best she can, and perhaps fall in love with him before he dies.

Stayed so true to the source material but still had its own must-see moments. A beautiful revival.
Overlong and bogged down in dark photography and art direction, this live action remake doesn’t come close to the magic that was the animated original.
My daughter and I absolutely loved this movie! The actors they selected were spot on compared to their animated version! A must see!!!!! Bravo!!!
im not a big fan of live action remakes, but this was solid!
